Thair Phillips

After graduating with a degree in data processing Thair Phillips joined the Air Force and spent 8 years as a B-52 bombardier and a war planning specialist. After the Air Force he worked extensively in the computer field as a system developer, project manager, and formed his own business as a systems consultant. Later Mr. Phillips transitioned into the public policy arena.

First as the executive director of the National Subacute Care Association, an organization for promoting the use of sub-acute care facilities to offset the high cost of prolonged stays in hospitals and then as the CEO of the Seniors Coalition, an organization that was formed to protect the quality of life and economic well-being of seniors while supporting common sense solutions to the challenges of the future. Mr. Phillips then served as the President and CEO of RetireSafe, representing 250,000 supporters and activists across America. RetireSafe is dedicated to preserving the options and benefits of older Americans through advocacy, education, and the power of free markets. Mr. Phillips is now the spokesperson and blogger for Seniors Speak Out a program of the Healthcare Leadership Council and an advisor to Men’s Health Network. Mr. Phillips has been involved in public policy in support of mature Americans for almost 25 years.
