Carlos Blanco was named President and Chief Executive Officer of the Lynn Health Science Institute in November 2020. Blanco joined LHSI in 2002 as a Clinical Coordinator. Since that time, he has ascended the executive team ranks from Director of Training in 2004, Director of Clinical Trials in 2005, Vice President of Operations in 2007, Chief Operating Officer in 2014 and Executive Vice President in 2019.
Since 2005, Blanco has been responsible for oversight of the day-to-day operations of all LHSI clinical trial sites. During his tenure, LHSI has experienced exceptional growth adding multiple sites across the region and becoming one of the premier clinical trials research networks in the United States. Prior to joining LHSI, Blanco worked at the University of Oklahoma for ten years conducting neurocognitive research trials. Blanco is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma and longtime resident of Norman, Oklahoma. He is active in the community, including serving on the Central Oklahoma Red Cross Board of Directors and OU’s Price College of Business Healthcare Board of Advisors.
